Set Aside Judgment

Acacia Law: The formal entitlement for it in Arizona is a motion to set aside judgment has to be filed and then the court can order that the judgment be set aside. Now most of the people who come into my office or call me by phone concerning this use the word expungement. Expungement is actually a term that is used in California, but is not a legal term that's recognized in Arizona.

There is a difference in terms of how the two processes operate. For purposes of expungement, they do not have it in the state of Arizona, so it's pointless to really explain the process at this time.
