The Typical Client

Interviewer: What kinds of offenders usually commit these crimes? Are these people who didn’t mean to do it? Are they more like people that have had previous problems with the law, or do you see a mix?

Acacia Law: Most of the clients that I have are what I call amateurs. They’re not people who are ordinarily violent. They are people who are ordinarily are not accustomed to being in dangerous situations. They’re people that ordinarily are law abiding and may be impaired by alcohol or drugs. Those are the vast majority of clients that I have represented.

They are normally not aggressive people. Something happened to them. But they are not how I would put it is they are not seasoned offenders in that regard. Much more seldom, my clients are know what they’re doing, have their wits about them, and would never stick around the scene of a crime. And oftentimes these events are prearranged
